Denise Herrmann (German Ski Federation) wins the silver medal in pursuit at the biathlon World Championships in Antholz (Italy). Katharina Truppe (ÖSV) is third at the Ski Alpin World Cup in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia and a victory for Stefan Kraft (ÖSV) at the ski jumping World Cup in Tauplitz/Bad Mittendorf (Austria).

The German national athlete Henriette Heinichen wins at the North German winter throw Championships in hammer throw in Berlin unchallenged in the women´s class with a good series of 6 valid attempts and a width of 54.74m.
