How PM We Care Changes Lives

Published: 26/07/2018

This is Chamika from Ghana. PM-International supported her as one of the sponsored children from March 2007 until August 2015. Today she is 19 years old, married, and a mother of children. To shape her own secure future, she has realized her dream and did an apprenticeship to become a seamstress. The World Vision development program in Ghana improved the living standard of Chamika and her family sustainably. Thanks to various trainings for health education and hygiene, the family is in good health all around. Trainings for better farming method and money management have also taught them how to provide for themselves when it comes to covering their basic needs, like food or clothing.

Chamika explains how the World Vision program contributed to strengthening her self-confidence and her love for the community. In fact, she herself contributes to her own community today by passing on her collected knowledge and helping others help themselves. She really enjoys thinking back on her time as sponsored child. Especially the many activities in the Kids Club and the great Christmas presents really meant a lot to her. Also, thanks to the support of PM and World Vision, Chamika and her family are able to lead a self-determined and happy life. And they are well prepared for the future.

We are absolutely thrilled to see how the donations of our customers and teampartners have changed Chamika’s life.
