Cycling: Eduard Fuchs wins the 24-hour race
Last weekend the Grazer extreme cyclist Eduard ‘Edi’ Fuchs won the 24-hour race in Kaindorf, Austria. After a turbulent race with a fall and broken wheel, the ‘Race around Austria’ winner cycled 788 kilometers back to the top and crossed the finish line together with his teammate Joachim Ladler.

Cycling: Marina Ilmer leaves her competitors behind in „Charly Gaul“ marathon
Marina Ilmer (centre) is in a class of her own. The cycling marathon specialist had a tactically clever race at the legendary “Charly Gaul” and won with a time of 5:15:59. A total of 141 kilometers with an altitude of 4,000 meters was to be completed as well as two climbs covering a distance of 17,6km to Monte Bondone with an average gradient of 7,8 percent.

Last weekend the former World number one Caroline Wozniaki won against Italian Roberta Vinci in the WTA Tournament in Istanbul. The 24 year old celebrated her 22nd success of her career with a 6-1, 6-1 victory after only 67 minutes of play.

Motorsport: Bruno Spengler finishes in 2nd place at the DTM Race in Moscow
BMW driver Bruno Spengler (left) came in second just behind his teammate Maxime Martin at the fifth DTM race in Moscow on Sunday and thus achieved his second podium success of this year. After experiencing problems during training he was able to significantly move up the ranks with his BMW Bank M4 during qualifying and finished the race with a time of 1:15:13,681 after 46 laps.
